Other Contributions
Scholarships
Scholarships will be provided to give better opportunities to the children of fishermen whose economic burden has been increased due to the collapse of the fishing village's infrastructure. Each year we choose 200 students among fishermen's children with excellent academic records, giving them hope to settle in a fishing village. In addition, we are continuously supporting the self-sustenance fishery department in schools to secure the high quality of fishery products and international competitiveness through the development of aquaculture technology.
Aquatic resource management
According to the EEZ, aquatic resources are decreasing due to the reduction of fishing grounds, illegal fishing, overfishing, and sea pollution. Therefore, we are removing starfish, the natural enemy of shellfish, and releasing healthy aquatic seedlings to coastal fisheries to strengthen and protect aquatic resources and increase fishermen’s income.
Female fisherman support project
We are promoting the status and rights of female fishermen by strengthening social and cultural education for female fishermen and carrying out projects to develop the local community.
