Giving back to the local community
“donation sharing culture”
At Suhyup, rice is accepted instead of flower wreaths when a branch is opened or relocated. It’s then delivered to underprivileged neighbors such as single seniors or teenage family heads. Flowers are wasteful consumables that must be thrown away once they wither after being displayed. However, since rice can help neighbors, we can practice a culture of sharing so that we can give back to society.
The Suhyup Konkuk University Station branch received 40 bags of rice instead of flower wreaths from guests during the branch relocation ceremony. The rice was then delivered to underprivileged families living in the area in cooperation with the Hwahyang-dong and Noyu-dong government offices. Suhyup Bank will always practice sharing management with the local community.
